3- Digital Tools for the Connected Worker (OGM)

Description
This course equips frontline workers, supervisors, and subcontractor personnel with the essential digital skills required to operate safely and efficiently on modern industrial and construction sites. As oil, gas, and industrial projects increasingly rely on mobile technology, connected equipment, and real-time data, workers must be confident using approved digital tools while complying with strict safety, cybersecurity, and data-privacy requirements.

Designed specifically for Aramco projects and regional oil & gas operations, the course focuses on practical, hands-on use of tablets, wearables, digital checklists, remote support tools, and basic AI applications. Emphasis is placed on improving safety, reducing paperwork, increasing productivity, and ensuring full compliance with site rules and data-protection policies.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Confidently use tablets and mobile devices to access approved digital SOPs, drawings, and work instructions on site.

Understand how wearable safety technology (e.g., smart vests and helmets) monitors worker health and supports incident prevention.

Complete digital checklists and site reports accurately, replacing paper-based processes with real-time reporting.

Use remote assistance tools, including live video calls, to communicate technical issues safely and effectively.

Apply basic AI and voice-enabled tools to quickly search safety manuals and approved documentation.

Scan RFID and QR codes to verify equipment status and review maintenance histories.
